OzMods 1/144 MiG-15bis
|
 |
The
most recent release by the Australian firm, OzMods, is the MiG-15bis.
The kit itself consists of 22 parts molded in dark grey styrene two
fuselage halves, wings, elevators, fin/rudder, seat, control panel, floor,
landing gear and drop tanks. There are also two vacform canopies. The
fuselage and flying surfaces have engraved panel lines.
Decals
are provided for four examples: Chinese, Czechoslovakian, North Korean
and Soviet Air Forces. There are also b/w drawings showing each of the
four options with Humbrol colours given in both number and name.
Conclusion
The MiG-15bis looks to be a straightforward kit with no problems. Minor
cleanup of all the parts will be required as the sprue contact points
are relatively large in relation to the size of the piece - any smaller
and they would fall off though.
Recommended to anyone wanting to add an earlier generation jet to their
collection.
Thanks to OzMods for the review
