Airways Graphics International has released several new and interesting
decal sheets in their 'Liveries Unlimited' line that will appeal to many
an aviation modeler:
BOAC
DH.98 Mosquito 1/72 #AGA7-014
If you are a Mosquito fan (and I am), you have no doubt picked up the
newest and hottest Mosquitos from Japan. You probably have the Airfix
offering on your shelf as well. Well, just to keep things interesting,
the Liveries Unlimited sheet AGA7-014 provides the markings for the 1/72
Mosquito in two different British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC)
markings. G-AGGF is painted in the standard RAF
upper scheme and Sky undersides, while G-AGGC is also painted in the standard
RAF upper scheme with Black undersides. The standard red/white/blue identification
stripes and Speedbird logo are also included. This set is also available
in 1/48 scale as well.
Ethiopian Airlines 757-200 1/144 #AGA4-151
This
set is intended to be used with the Minicraft 1/144 757 with Pratt & Whitney
engines (the C-32A). This provides an extensive set of markings to do
ET-AKC, which carries a very colorful scheme. Also included are the markings
for ET-AJS, a cargo 757-200PF. The decals include a full set of windows,
window frames, doors, maintenance stencils, and the emergency overwing
walkways. Good color references are provided to get that perfect look.
Ethiopian Airlines 767 1/200 #AGA2-101
This
set is intended for the Hasegawa 1/200 767-200 or 767-300 kits. Like the
release above, this set creates a very colorful scheme as used on 767-200
ET-AIE or 767-300 ET-ALC. Additional registration markings are also provided
for variety. And as with the previous release, the decal set include a
full set of windows, window frames, doors, maintenance stencils, and the
emergency overwing walkways.
New
York Air 737-300 1/144 #AGA4-152
Targeted for the Minicraft 1/144 737-300 kit, this set provides markings
to represent any number of New York Air's 737-300 fleet. Additional markings
are also provided for the Continental acquisition of NY Air with "Continental's
New York Air" logo. The primary decal sheet provided the fuselage stripes
and tail logo in silver and a separate correction
sheet with the same markings in white. Given the bright red background
that these white markings sit upon, I wish they'd printed ALL of the white
markings in silver, and then again in white. The silver would provide
a perfect backdrop for the white decals to sit and not bleed the red color
through. And as with the previous releases above, the decal set include
a full set of windows, window frames, doors, maintenance stencils, and
the emergency overwing walkways.
These
folks produce quite a few interesting decal offerings for both the military
and civilian aircraft modeler. I stopped into their website and found
it very nicely designed and easy to search. Check it out!
